Casino Night began in the spring of 2022 that is an "adult-only" night away all dressed up and playing several popular casino games from poker to blackjack and more. You do not want to miss this fun night out in Downtown Calhoun, give to a great cause, and possibly walk home with some amazing prizes. Unity Run 5K

A true community event, the Unity Run is an annual 5K that is for a great cause: United Way of Gordon County. The Unity Run takes place on the last Tuesday of September. Click here to learn more. 

The Pumpkin Patch is a fall-fundraiser in partnership with United Way and Downtown Calhoun. When you buy a pumpkin from our patch, 100% of your purchase will benefit United Way of Gordon County and Downtown Calhoun. Click here to learn more

Singing for Toys

United Way of Gordon County, Voluntary Action Center (VAC), Gordon Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Walmart, and students from the Calhoun City and Gordon County Schools chorus departments have partnered together to sing at Walmart. For many years the choruses sing for toys. This Christmas tradition continues and works well for Gordon County. Families and friends join the fun of listening to the children sing Christmas music. As the second generation of performers shares their songs, many of their parents are reminded of the times they too sang for toys. The EMS volunteers will be outside Walmart collecting toys or contributions for the VAC's Christmas toy program. This event happens each year in December at the Calhoun Walmart located at 450 W. Belmont Dr., Calhoun,  GA 30701.

Claus For A Cause is for the community. During the first week of December, United Way hosts a wholesome community event at the Calhoun Depot. All are encouraged to attend and enjoy a festive and fun evening. For a small donation, you can get photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy live Christmas music, enjoy desserts and warm beverages, do crafts, and much more. Click here to learn more.
